National nutrition week

National Nutrition week started yesterday!

Every day for the next week I will be featuring a superfood or 2.

Today’s superfood is ALOE VERA. Aloe Vera is rich in plant sterols, amino acids & polysaccharides.

It absolutely LOVES your liver, reduces inflamation, repairs damaged tissue, is an immune stimulant, has anti-bacterial properties &  is a wonderful digestive aid.

Aloe Vera is made up of 2 main parts: The gel, which is found in the leaves, & the exudate which is derived from the juice obtained from the cells just under the outer skin.

As Aloe Vera is anti-fungal, anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-parasitic, anti-inflammatory (& much, ,much more!) it has been shown to be beneficial for the following conditions:

  • Arthritis
  • Tumours
  • Diabetes
  • Constipation
  • Digestive complaints
  • Haemorroids
  • Skin conditions
  • Ulcers
  • Menstrual disorders
  • & much, much more!
